La Grange d'Alice is at 1250m, above the 'permanent' snow line for Les Arcs, near Arc 1600 in the village of Les Granges. The chalet is at the foot of the Bois de Saule (blue), Granges (red) and Violettes (red) pistes, next to the Les Granges funicular station and La Millerette lift (3 mins to the centre of Arc 1600 and access to ski school).

The funicular lift, which has a stop 150m from the chalet takes you to the centre of Arc 1600 in 2 mins. There you can take the Mont Blanc Express lift to 2200m, from which you can access all parts of the Les Arcs, including a direct run to the Vanoise Express that links to La Plagne. . To get back to the chalet there are 2 reds and a very easy blue (you can also return on the funicular). You can ski home all the way from the top of the Mont Blanc or Arpette lifts, giving a vertical descent of over 1200m!

The funicular also links us to the busy valley town of Bourg St Maurice, 'skiing capital of France'.

By car La Grange d'Alice is 7 km from Bourg St Maurice, just of the main road at Les Granges. There is plenty of free off-road parking outside the chalet.
