We welcome children of all ages, and we make no charges for children aged 4 or under (provided they share a room with their parents), and we offer discounts for children aged 5  - 14). Several of the chalet bedrooms are large enough for an additional cot and/or child bed, and we can be flexible with the sleeping arrangements to suit your needs.

Les Arcs offers 'Family Pack' lift passes, with substantial savings for a group of 2 adults and 2 children or more.

Most types of nappies, bottled baby food, wipes etc. available in the UK can be purchased locally. Please let us know if you would like us to get any supplies for when you arrive, by email at least a week in advance. Prices are more or less the same as in the UK.

Ski Chalet Les Arcs France

Lift passes are free for children under 5 (proof of age required). All of our accommodation is close to lifts and ski-learning areas. We recommend the Arc 1600 ESF ski school, with whom we have had a good relationship for more than a decade. They can offer group and private lessons with english-speaking instructors. We can arrange lunchtime ski-school pick ups, etc, and help organise a mixture of ski school and child care.

For children over 12 and adventurous adults Les Arcs 2000 boasts a 3km luge run which is a great fun! Toboggan altitude: 3000m and descent 400m elevation. You will find the Toboggan run at the top of the Arc 2000 Arcabulle chairlift or the Transarc Gondola. Riders must be 12+ years and minimum 1.25m height. Price will include loan toboggan and helmets.

IGLOO VILLAGE

Visit Les Arcs amazing igloo village at Arc 2000.  Even if there's a blizzard outside, inside everything is perfectly calm and quiet. A few steps and you're suddenly in a strange and unreal world.

Discover the sharp, clean lines of giant ice sculptures carved from ice that looks as pure as a precious stone. Then, explore the soft, warm curves of figures shaped out of the snow, following a theme that changes every winter. The main hall at the end of the tunnel is the highlight, with dappled lighting that adds to the overall effect of absolute serenity.

The Igloo Village is rebuilt every year, starting in November. 120 metres long and 3 metres high, it takes 100 days of work to realise this masterpiece using 10,000 m3 of high-density snow (much more compact than on the slopes).

We offer a Children's meal early evening (normally 18.30), with a selection of the usual home-made favourites (pasta, sausages, chicken, pizza etc.) and fresh fruit, yoghurt and fruit juices. Bottler warmers, high chairs and potties are available for toddlers and babies. Older children (normally over 11) are welcome to join the 'adult' dinner, although special food cannot be provided.

Chalet L'Aguille Grive has a fully equipped separate kitchen which can be used by guests for the preparation of lunches and 'day-off' meals. Guests using this kitchen are asked to keep it clean and tidy.

Parents of children are asked to accompany their little ones at meal times. Our chalet hosts will not be able to supervise or feed children during meal times.
